Evaluating customer rewards programs
There are store-specific rewards programs and we are seeing the advent of rewards programs which aim to be a general catch-all for all stores that you shop at, Mogl, FiveStars and Flexkom come to mind. All of which of course are lacking in terms of the grace, power and elegance of Lyoness.
With this in mind, we need to ask a few questions when deciding on a loyalty program.
Referral privileges
A large number of loyalty programs allow you to actively save, but do they allow you to benefit by referring others?
Size of business
FiveStars is great for local businesses but what about national chains? Does it solve the fact that many national chains are creating their own rewards programs? No, because they only work with local businesses.
Lines of business
How universal is a universal rewards card
Ways to shop
Does it support online, giftcard, cashback card and mobile phone?
